Dear 8th Grade Parents:
As you know this is an exciting year for our sons/daughters; it is also a very busy year for them and us. The 8th grade has always had several fundraisers to help defray the cost of the Dinner Cruise on the Spirit of Philadelphia, the Yearbook and Graduation Fee. The more money we are able to raise, the less we have pay out of our own pocket.
We have the following fundraisers lined up for this year and will need the help of all parents to make them successful. Our hope is that by providing this information to you now, everyone can sign up for the events they can help with. Obviously, you can sign up for more than one.
Harvest Dance – Friday, November 20th 7:00 – 9:30 pm

3 people for the Poinsettia sale
This fundraiser will need donations from each family, some of these items include
2 liter bottles of soda
Ketchup, mustard, relish, sauerkraut
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate
Creamer, sugar
Plates
Napkins
Cups for coffee
Drink cups
Red and white table cloths
Red and green balloons
Red and green ribbons
Miss Markellos sent home a note last week asking that each family either send in a $25.00 fee or advise if they would like to donate items for each event. This money will cover everything except for Lunch with Santa. The money will be used to buy the concession items for the dances and basketball games as well as pay for all school parties.
It is our hope that with everyone’s help we can have a successful and fun year. Please feel free to contact either of us if you have any questions about anything we have listed above.
If you are able to help out with the Harvest Dance, let us know.
Thank you,
