BGRCS Scrip Program
August 28, 2009
Dear Parents, Guardians and Faculty:
Welcome back for another productive and exciting year at BGRCS! As many of you know, the school participates in the gift certificate SCRIP Program. In these tough economic times, this program allows us to raise money for the school and receive money off our children’s tuition without spending any extra money or time and without selling anything. I encourage you to try the program and see just how easy it is to use and how much tuition credits you can earn. The key to the program is planning ahead. You need to buy the certificates before you shop and then use them as you would cash. If you know there are birthdays or showers coming up, order certificates as gifts, and with the Holidays just around the corner, by sharing the merchant list with your family and friends, you will see just how quickly your tuition savings add up.
What is Scrip and where can I find the list of participating retailers? The Scrip Program is no longer a mandatory fund raiser. You may find the list of participating retailers on our school website at www.bgrcs.org. We also have several local merchants that participate in the program: Acme, Shop Rite, and Kohl’s give 5% while Botto’s Market/Restaurant gives 10%.
How can I order? In order to receive the credits that you are due, I need to have something in writing from you when you place your order(s). You can either use a “Gift Certificate Order Form” or you can email me at kkoorneef@sjcswedesboro.org. Should you use the Gift Certificate Order Form, please make sure the envelopes are marked with your child’s name and grade and your order will then be sent home in your child’s Wednesday folder. You can find these order forms on-line and at the school office. Please make all checks payable to “BGRCS”. If you have any questions regarding the program please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Kimberley Koorneef
BGRCS SRIP Coordinator
**There will be a $20.00 fee assessed for all returned checks. Please note that if we receive two checks back for non-sufficient funds, you will be required to pay with cash or money orders.
