A Butterfly Blessing

Lord,

Bless me with the ability of a butterfly to endure the changes that will happen to me in my lifetime.  Help me to accept these changes with a positive and loving attitude.

Bless me with the beauty of a butterfly to allow me to reflect the colors of my soul, being and individuality, and to look for these things in others.

Bless me with the ability of a butterfly to create and instill the feeling of wonder, passion, and excitement towards all of your living creatures.

Bless me with the butterflies' ability to pollinate your flowers, so that I may cultivate your human garden with love and compassion.

Last, but not least, Lord,

Bless me with the grace of ascension, so that I may ascend into your glorious heaven like a rising butterfly, when my journey here on earth, is complete.

Amen

5th Grade Parents,

This is to inform you that your child is required to receive (2) vaccines prior to entering Grade 6. The first is the meningococcal vaccine. This is required for any child born on or after January 1, 1997, age 11 or older and entering Grade 6. The 2nd vaccine is the Tdap vaccine.  This is required for any child born on or after January 1, 1997 and entering Grade 6, but not before their 10th birthday. Please schedule an appointment as soon as possible for these vaccines. Your child will not be allowed to start school in the fall unless these requirements are made and their new school receives an updated immunization record for their file.  Please call me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Cynthia L. Moore RN

School Nurse

BGRCS Spotlight on Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten class has learned so much this year!  Not only have we practiced all the letters in the alphabet, but we have been learning to put the sounds together to make words and we are now reading books and spelling words!  Math has been fun this year too...we have learned about numbers, beginning addition and subtraction, graphing, geometry, measurement, money and now beginning to tell time!

We've also learned a lot about our Catholic faith.  We have travelled through the Church year and last month we led the school in saying the Rosary.  We have also watched our bean and carrot plants grow and our caterpillars turn into butterflies!  Last week we took a wonderful field trip to the Philadelphia Zoo - the weather was perfect and the time spent together was wonderful.

As we get ready to "move up" and say good bye, I want to wish everyone a happy and safe summer.  Good luck wherever your future takes you.  It has been a pleasure working with your children and I wish them God's blessings in everything they pursue.

With appreciation,

Mrs. Patty Grenier
